Sequoia National Park
by Andrei Rublev  Wednesday, August 25th.

Wake up early and drive North to Sequoia National Park. Impressive amount of orange tree groves all along 65. Enter the Park at the Ash Mountain Entrance but we're told at the Visitor Center that due to steep curves near Amphitheatre Point RVs above 22 feet long, that's us, are strongly advised to use the Big Stump Entrance near Grant Grove. Did they say "forbidden?" No and I find this to be a nice but weird approach.

We turn around. Dry Creek Road is a trip in itself. It's a narrow and snaky road. We see only two or three cars in 20 miles. Vegetation is yellow (tall grass) and black (trees). We play a mellow country music from the 70's that I purchased at the last supermarket we visited. This is Western adventure.

Find a great spot not far from the Grant tree. Magical dusk walk to the Grant tree (they don't name trees after people any more) through the enchanted forest.
