La Porte d'Or (chez Speed).
The oriental restaurant "La Porte d'Or"
(the golden door) has established itself
as the chinese place of Monaco about 10 years ago.
My usual here is the "Salade Porte d'Or" a combination of
shrimps, pineapple, lettuce, soya beans, cucumber, bamboo,
cuttle fish and crab with a fish vinaigrette.
The whole thing is served in a half pineapple.
Speed (here on the right) has worked here
with his family since the beginning
and many people say that the place will close the day he leaves.
I go there for dinner at least once a week.
