The Asahi building designed by Philippe Stark
is very deceiving.
The inside does not stand up to
its very noticeable outside.
The first floor restaurant
has become the hang-out
of the local senior citien.
It is interesting to see
how form does not follow function
in this Stark building.
Function seems to be totally ignored.
There is a beautiful fountain right outside.
Water is flowing on some of the stairs
and is stopped from going onto the rest of the stairs
by a little wall.
We saw an interesting device in the subway.
Below a water fountain there is a tap
that is used for foot cleaning.
