Andrei,
There's no hurry to get the diskette. *I'm* sorry that I wasn't around to meet you, but again, it's no big deal. Thanks for making arrangements with Piero. I'll call him.

I hope you're having a good time. I'm sure that you are. The Hawaiian islands are great. Did you know that before the west reach the islands there were no predators, not even a poisonous snake. The place must have been a real paradise. I was in Kuai for a week once. There is a leper colony there so the island remains relatively void of people. We slept on the moss and ate fruit from the trees. I think I could have spent the rest of my life there.

I'll be checking your web site for the latest as you crisscross the globe.

Is this all difficult to do with ftp.

Aren't you staying in hotels and having problems with the PBX systems.

It will be interesting to see what happens when you are in a more or less third world country like Bali.

Several things I want to know:

-You only have two more days I believe before Tokyo. Has Cyrus been in touch with you. Do you want me to send him another e-mail to "nudge" him. Believe me eccosysms in worth meeting up with. Really. You have to get together with them! You just must. They are the perfect partners for the "navigating global cultures project"

-When are you going to do a CU-seeme event. I was expecting maybe something from Hawaii. You should do at least one in every location, if only for a few minutes.

-Are many people following this trip or am I the only one. (I'm the only one right! Hah! oui o no?

-I'm surprised that the interface to this trip is just text. Why not the obvious map or calender to show where you have been, are, and will be.

A map is interesting because the viewer has a better idea of the trip, particularly as the links change color along the way, marking the voyage.

Of course something rather than a map or a calender would be better or perhaps a combination of different hypertexted interfaced.

Click on the calender to see what is happening to day. Then click and you go to the map to see where you are, and back and forth.

Anyway. I liked Hawaii virtually although in this case I must say being in New York it was a bit painful to see how beautiful it was. Oh well. At least I saw it.

Look forward to CU in Tokyo

I said that because I ended up focussing on the Web project rather than on my own travel. This was in Hawai. Now in Japan, things are much different. There is so much to do that I hardly think of the Trip project. I just collect the info gathered during the day and paste it on my Web page.
